Why is it important that teens' voices be heard? We'll analyze and discuss the good, bad, and ugly ways that the media portrays Gen Z. In this engaging workshop, participants will learn to represent their generation through writing and let their voices be heard with hands-on activities, discussion, and analysis of current journalism and ads. Boston's only city-wide high school newspaper, Teens in Print, will guide participants in responding to their discoveries by writing a short op-ed. Each student will walk away with the beginning of a piece of writing, and the first tools in learning how to become a journalist.
